TOLEDO, Ohio, March 3, 2009 - Toledo's Amtrak Station will host the
second annual National Train Day Celebration on Saturday, May 2, 2009
from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza
located at 415 Emerald Ave. in downtown Toledo.

The National Association of Railroad Passengers (NARP) and Amtrak are
hosting these nation-wide day-long events to celebrate National Train
Day which commemorates the completion of the first transcontinental
railroad system on May 10, 1869 at Promontory, Utah. The events will
also serve to raise awareness of the vital role rail plays in our
nation's transportation system.
