Thanks for the warning

Yes, God forbid you should be exposed to the rhetoric of a a Nobel Prize-winning, Pulitzer Prize-winning, Grammy-nominated American author, editor, and professor. You might pick up a f**king book or something, hanging around highbrow eggheads like Toni Morrison.

(end sarcasm)

What is it about Toni Morrison that so offends you, G-man? Is it the fact that she is a native Ohioan, that she occasionally speaks out about politics, or perhaps that she is highly educated?

Or is there some other reason why this renowned African American woman so bothers you?

BTW, Chris: thanks for the update and for getting out the word about Toni Morrison's visit. I trust that the people of Toledo will respond and fill Savage Hall, demonstrating that there is indeed a sense of culture and more than a twinge of intellectual vibrancy in Toledo, despite the benighted rantings of people like G-man.
