One star of "Idiots on Ice" now blames everyone but himself

A survivor of the "Idiots on Ice" over the weekend is now blaming everyone but himself. Quotes of the decade:
====
"If they knew there was a danger, why in the world did they allow us to go in there?" he said.

"The sheriff kept saying that there were warnings out, ... that there was a possibility of an ice floe," Vaughn said. "Anybody local would have seen that and understood. But most of the people fishing were people who had driven quite a distance to get there. They weren't listening to the radio, and they had no reason to think that something was wrong.

"In my opinion, ... the state opened the door for liability when they didn't close that park," he said. "They keep talking about the possibility of us paying for the rescue. I'll take it to the Supreme Court if I have to."

It's 50 degrees out. Let's go out on the ice!

This is funny and deeply depressing at the same time.

I've seen this kind of behavior before. Last winter we had a huge snowstorm and a long line of SUVs got stranded on Eastbound I-90 near Mad City. The majority were FBIs (F***ing B*****ds from Illinois) headed out to their vacation homes to ride out a severe winter storm that had paralyzed Chicago. They had four wheel drive, so it's off we go to Door county.

What a joke.

The National Guard fired up a dozen snowmobiles and spent all night distributing supplies, such as food, water and blankets. All they heard were complaints that the government wasn't doing enough for the stranded travelers. Go figure.

What I really wonder about on the ice flow scenario concerns salvage rights. Are all those ATVs and snowmobiles considered abandoned? Because if they are, I'd be out there in an air boat running a quick salvage operation.

Sadly, this seems to be the popular style nowadays, no one is responsible for their own actions/stupidity, heaven forbid.

What next, the guy going to hire a lawyer and sue the authorities who "didn't stop him" for embarrassment now that everyone knows he's an idiot?
