Leaning To The Right With President Of Institute For Liberty Monday Morning On WSPD

Monday morning Andrew Langer of the Institute For Liberty joins me at 7:30 to talk about the stimulus bill. God, the name Liberty even sounds like it leans to the right doesn't it? The Institute focuses on free markets and government powers that are limited and transparent.....boy there's some righty ideas for you. Check out the website at http://www.instituteforliberty.org/
Tuesday more right leaning radio with Bill Wersell the Director of the Small Business Development Center for the Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce. Best not to listen unless you plan on thinking about what you hear.

Is this the guy you're interviewing?

Pink Slip

I think it was pretty clear who I was interviewing. Is this the woman who runs the website you directed people to view http://www.geocities.com/asbifaq/humantics.html

Fred -

Thanks for having me on this morning. I had a great time!

Pink Slip, that is me. At least, one person's view of me. As I tell people who are getting started in public policy, especially anyone who writes on public policy online, when you put yourself, and your views, out there, you're going to find people who are going to oppose your views, and some will take that opposition to an extreme.

In this particular instance, I used to do a lot of writing online about environmental policy, and this person and I crossed swords a number of times. It took me quite a while, but I realized in the end that there was no point in discussing issues with her - while I made friends and had rational discussions with people of greatly differing viewpoints from my own, this was a person who simply wouldn't engage in open and meaningful discourse.

The linked website was part and parcel to this--and there's an interesting coda. Last year, this person demanded payment from me in exchange for having this website taken down... and threaten to renew online attacks against me should I not pay!

Hope that explains it, Pink Slip! Feel free to e-mail me if you have any additional questions - or visit the IFL website, http://www.instituteforliberty.org !

Thanks again, Fred!

- Andrew Langer

Thanks Andrew Langer, I may indeed take you up on that. I first want to read up on some of the lobbying you've done.

Pink Slip

Booo Yaaa......pink won't have the balls to e-mail Andrew. Hell he doesn't have the menards to even post under a real name what makes you think he'd come out from under his rock to write to someone offering him infomation. Too funny.
The interview is podcast by the way and can be heard at http://www.wspd.com/pages/fredstop10.html if not already, soon.

You know you've gotten under Fredo's skin when he trots out the 'ol 'won't even post under his own name' refrain.

I'd forgotten how contentious the old TT could be. Thanks for the memories. jr knew how to slap 'em around back in the day. Actually, I got into a few dustups with him, too.

So, 'Fred'.....or should we say 'buttonpusher'......?

Hey, I see, Pinky, you were posting from Cali back in '06 and you're still doing it!!

Jaysus, why don't you just move here?!!??

McCaskey, maybe Fred and Chris can make a roadtrip out to California to seek me out at my Democrat hideout

Pink Slip

Fred--please, can you stop thinking of balls for a minute. It's a little creepy when one of the Village People is thinking about my balls. I'm doing a little reading, and then I'll email Andrew.

Pink Slip

Village People

the leather guy?

Yaaawwwwnnnn. Of course pink.....you'll be writing him soon. And we'll all be waiting to see the updated posting here. Too funny.
