Fox Toledo listens to you, reports on your requests at Detroit International Auto Show

Barrett Andrews reports on viewer requests from the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. This report ran yesterday, but being I was so tired from a hard day at work, I did not see it when it was posted. This is a great example of a traditional media using new media to interface and bring viewers closer to the story. While this is a Web exclusive feature, it is still a great way on empower viewers and make them stakeholders in the story. One of my favorite cars, the Tesla Roadster, was covered the report. When Barrett initially requested ideas via Twitter, I did not hesitate to send a few; so did other viewers. You can see the video below:

but it is electric, no engine, no oil and many of the other maint items that a normal car has. Although I still don't think the cost is equal to a car, but it is amazing how far things have come. This is not your father's electric car.
