Toledoan recalls story on downed US Airways flight

George Tanber is reporting on a Toledoan who was on the US Airways flight that went down in the Hudson River in NY:
=====
TOLEDO, Ohio - One minute, Denise Lockie was chatting amiably with her seatmate in the first class cabin of U.S. Airways Flight 1549, as the plane headed out over the Hudson River on its departure from LaGuardia on a bitterly cold but clear Thursday afternoon.

The next, there was an explosion and the plane quickly tilted toward the water. Lockie, a Toledo native and Charlotte businesswoman, assumed the worst as flight attendants asked the 150 passengers aboard to tuck and brace. Before she tucked, Lockie turned to a passenger wearing a pilot's uniform who was sitting behind her.

"I asked if we were crashing. And [he] nodded yes."

Was The Hudson River Plane Shot Down?

Assassination By Plane Crash’ Of Top American Bankers Fails In US
By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers (Traducción al Español abajo)

Russian Military Intelligence reports circulating in the Kremlin today state that an attempt to shoot down an American passenger plane over New York City carrying some of the top officials from the United States largest bank, and largest financial services company in the World, Bank of America, failed when the pilot quickly reacted to his crippled and burning aircraft by landing it in the Hudson river extinguishing the spreading flames and saving the lives of all aboard.

Quoting some of the direct statements from passengers on the attacked aircraft (including Jeff Kolodjay who stated "I heard a loud explosion from the left side of the plane [and] the smell of gas was strong.", and Dave Sanderson who also stated "I heard an explosion and saw some flames coming from the left wing.") the FSB additions to these reports state that ‘without a doubt’ the missile used to attack this US aircraft was a Russian made Igla-S man-portable air-defense system manufactured at the Degtyarev factory in the city of Kovrov due to its ‘unique frequency signature’ recorded by [listening devices] located at Russia’s UN Mission offices in New York City and orbiting satellites.

CNN UPDATE: Bank Of America: 'Large Group' Of Workers On NYC Plane

Thank you Kat for that little piece.

In this early morning hour, it caused me to snort my coffee out of my nose! Should do wonders for my sinus' and keyboard!

Good grief - nobody died, it was a flock of geese, it's happened before, and will happen again (New York has geese). The media is making this story bigger than life.

Just one more reason why I despise the media-something happens-and they run with it-non-stop-continually-24/7-until it practically drives you insane. That, and the Coronation of the 'Black Abe Lincoln' (Sorry, it wasn't me that came up with that, it was one of the networks)are, consequently, all you'll get to see all weekend. I've laid in a good supply of films from Blockbuster until the inaugaration is over, at least.

I know this is a little off-topic but Dark  started it!

the repeated reference to John McCain's age during the campaign, I think he missed a mark in the debates. What he should have said...

"Mr. Obama, I knew Abe Lincoln personally I am here to tell you, you are NO Abe Lincoln!".

TWO things I will NOT miss after Tuesday-the constant derogatory jokes regarding McPain's age and Bush's intelligence. Thank God.
