Israeli assault on Gaza

With a little more than three weeks left in the Bush Administration, this presents Obama with another critical situation to deal with. Interesting timing by the Israelis?

Backing Israel, the administration of President George W. Bush, in its final weeks in office, put the onus on Hamas to prevent a further escalation.
"The United States ... holds Hamas responsible for breaking the ceasefire and for the renewal of violence in Gaza," Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in a statement. "The ceasefire should be restored immediately."

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, a leading candidate to become Israel's next prime minister, called for international support against "an extremist Islamist organization ... that is being supported by Iran," Israel's arch-foe.

Israeli analyst Ron Ben-Yishai said the strike was "shock treatment ... aimed at securing a long-term ceasefire between Hamas and Israel on terms that are favorable to Israel."

Those who continue to delude themselves that peace is possible with Nazi Muslims have their heads buried in the sand. It's past time the Israelis enforce peace through strength, expel their sworn enemies as Moses commands and former Israeli Parliament Member and rabbi Meir Kahane courageously called for (murdered by another Arab terrorist in NYC linked to the WTC bombing), and encourage Jewish pioneers to return to the biblical territories (they were cruelly removed from by "right-wing" Ariel Sharon with George Bush, alleged "friend of Israel," aiding and abetting, rewarding terrorism and punishing the innocent).

David Ben-Ariel's self-imposed hiatus from posting drivel lasted about 12 hours. Lucky us for the small favors from above.

Mike, do you make it a practice of highjacking threads to spread your hate? Let us be clear: the message of this thread is about feuding Arabs and Jews in the Promised Land of Israel. Focus on the message.

While I do not hate any people, I do hate one thing, David, and that is ignorance. Unfortunately, your posts are filled with ignorance (rationalized in your mind with obscure Bible passages), and thus I and other posters speak out against your racist extremism.

If that is "hate," then call me a hater. I prefer the term "reasoned discourse," but your idea of disourse is simply to condemn anyone who does not agree with you. As you said in a recent thread: "You either believe God or your [sic] demonic liars."

BTW - where does one get the One True Faith, David? Don't cop out and say "the Bible" - you seem to be at war with every religious group, even the offshoots of the Worldwide Church of God after the post-Armstrong split. Is there even one single church that meets your extreme standards? It's one thing to condemn Catholics and other Protestant branches as idolaters and fetishists, but you seem to be unable to get along with even your fellow WCG travelers.

shortly by his trusted side-kick, no doubt.

(Whoops! I'm not focusing)

It is rather ironic that the U.S. felt sorry for the Jews (especially those Americans who are "fundamentalist Christians" and look to the settlement of Israel by Jews from Eastern Europe as a fulfillment of prophecy before the "Second Coming"). I guess any nation (German or Israelite) when it becomes strong enough begins to look for "lebensraum".

Of course, Israel has God on its side. I remember several places in the Old Testament were God commanded that His servants slay "him that pisseth against the wall" (all the males). I never understood that phrase until I lived in Eritrea for two years. The men there pee against any wall (even the one that surrounded the Coptic Christian Cathedral of St. Mary (or St. Elizabeth) in downtown Asmara). And if these servants of God follow their Lord they will slay all who oppose the will of their God to possess Israel. I am surely glad they have no desire for these United States.

Israel has been hit by over 3000 missiles this year. On wednesday alone, they were hit by 60 missiles from Gaza. This conflict won't end until one side wins. David, Mike doesn't hate , I think he sees you as extreem . You do come across that way.

You're absolutely right that "this conflict won't end until one side wins," which is why Israel needs to end this war of attrition and WIN THE WAR against Nazi Muslim terrorism and enforce PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH.

The "Mikes" of this world do hate, even if they loudly profess otherwise, since they've proven they hate the plain truth of the Bible and history that exposes their willful/woeful ignorance and challenges their idolatrous ideas and self-righteous notions. Some of us go by the black and white of the Bible, the Word of God. Whether that appears 'extreme" or not depends on how far out in left field some have wandered. ;-)

I am a Bible-believer, a Christian-Zionist (one who believes the Prophets foretold the restoration of Jews first of all Twelve Tribes of Israel to the Promised Land of Israel before the end of this world as we know it).

Mike, if you truly hate ignorance, go educate yourself. Then you'll learn that I know what I'm talking about when I dare to share the plain truth of the Bible and history, however unpopular it is. The truth can set you free, but you appear to have dug in your heels, proud and stubborn like too many Americans, who will soon go into national captivity for it. At least you won't be able to say you weren't warned.
