...taxes. For example, eliminating Medicare would save billions in taxes, and lead to a reduction in the expensive elderly population. It certainly must be in the back of the minds of most conservative politicians. But, Christ, those old people vote. Not good for the Republican Party. If we could just get them to starve themselves to death, then we could see a massive transfer of wealth (especially at a time when it is needed). The reduction of Medicaid would get rid of a lot of the poor who are too young for Medicare. What about it, America? You don't have to be in uniform to die for your country. Remember, it's all about consumption.
