ACORN Workers Indicted For Alleged Voter Fraud

I found this story. Although it is no surprise, I still wanted to point out what it takes to get a Democrat elected.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Four people have been indicted on charges of voter fraud in Kansas City, officials said Wednesday.

Investigators said questionable registration forms for new voters were collected by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, a group that works to improve minority and low-income communities.

The four indicted -- Kwaim A. Stenson, Dale D. Franklin, Stephanie L. Davis and Brian Gardner -- were employed by ACORN as registration recruiters. They were each charged with two counts.

Federal indictments allege the four turned in false voter registration applications. Prosecutors said the indictments are part of a national investigation.

ACORN and Project Vote recruit and assign workers to low-income and minority neighborhoods to register people to vote.

The Kansas City Election Board told KMBC they found suspicious forms, such as seven applications from one person and an application for a dead man.

"There is some motive behind it -- this is not accidental," said Ray James with the Kansas City Election Board.

Election officials said some of the application cards had false addresses, signatures and phone numbers.

ACORN officials in Kansas City said they turned in the four people who were indicted.

"We're very happy that they were indicted," said Claudie Harris with ACORN.

Harris said ACORN workers are paid by the hour and not by the number of voter registration cards they turn in.

"When you fraudulently defraud this, that gives us a bad name and what we're trying to do a bad name," Harris said.

ACORN officials said the four indicted have been fired.

Harris said ACORN workers check every voter registration card before sending it to the Election Board.

Last month, ACORN claimed to have processed more than 35,000 voter registration applications in Kansas City since the summer.

In the 2004 election, my daughter knew a guy who's job it was to recruit people to register people to vote - and get paid for it at the same time, with bonus' offered or something. He said there's always a few (either party) who were in it only for the money (party & election be damned) & were either sloppy or greedy about accuracy. He said in past elections, he'd had to throw out a lot of duplicate or inaccurate registrations, and seemed really upset that it even happened - waste of time, and unethical. I realize you're trying to lay fault at Obama's door over this - but this happens in all elections, both parties. Obama & Acorn have no way of knowing that their voter register recruiters are pulling stunts like this - until it's done. The entire campaign duration this year, the Blade ran ads in the classifieds looking for people who wanted to earn $9. an hour to register voters - they do this every election. I can't fault Obama, the Democrats or Acorn - I fault the lazy, sloppy or greedy young people they recruit. And you don't always know which ones they are when you take them on board, until after the fact.

If you want to nit-pick about voter & election fraud - you may want to refresh your memory about the last Bush election. There's a good fact based movie called "Recount" about it - amazing the bull shit that the Republican party pulled back then - shameless, and makes this current Acorn stuff look like child's play. I am talking about the theft or not counting of thousands of votes. (If I recall, they found boxes of absentee ballots in boxes in a locked room, well after the election.) The Republicans were dispicable in the crap they pulled.

Amazing Libs, that these 4 people that ACORN turned in tipped the balance of the election in your mind.

Even if some representatives of ACORN did engage in fraudulent voter registration, I don't think it would have affected the ultimate outcome of the election. Obama won by a large enough margin that I think it would be safe to assume he still would have come out ahead.

(And before you assume that I'm an Obama apologist...I did not vote for him. I just think it would be unfair and inaccurate to assume that Obama won the election because of ACORN.)

Kansas would have put McCain into the White House®.

Makes me wonder what the zealot Democrats would dredge up had McCain actually won this election lol

D.N.A. , to be immoral, illegal, and woefully SINFULL! Demonrats, see things in the U.S. Constitution that are NOT there. Like, bailouts for companies that FAIL!! Like abortions to whores! Like tax subsidies for steel companies with less than 500 employees.( the Kennedy family owns one, that's why the law),and everything my tax dollars fund, that are Unconstitutional! I cannot think of anything I receive from my benign government that I NEED, that I already provide to myself. Ohh, I'm not a loafer like the typical Dim., that's why I don't need Government, then why do I pay for the aforementioned WASTE!! Hmmm, I am now a DIM !!! Send me money, I want to sit at home and watch WINFREY all day!

...brought these duplicate registrations to the attention of the election boards. Of course, what should be done is that a law should be passed that no registrar can receive pay for doing registering.
