Let The Voting Games Begin! Don't Get Bamboozled!

I drove by the polling location this afternoon, and the line was out the door and down the street. It is good to see that so many people are voting in this historic election.

In addition...we are in November, and the weather is great! Tomorrow hopefully the weather will be just as nice, so that should not be a factor in keeping people from getting out to vote.

I can only imagine how long the lines will be on tomorrow.

I am listening to Michael Baisden on the radio (he has a nationally syndicated show; here in Toledo he is on 95.7 FM), and people are calling in from various states reporting that they are in line to vote for up to 6-8 hours!

In addition, just imagine how long people are going to have to stand in line if they are in one of the states that did not offer early voting.

Also...if you are voting tomorrow, remember that as long as you are in line before the polls close, you have a right to vote!

Lastly, the voting games have begun. According to people calling into Michael Baisden, some of the issues being reported are:

1) People who have been registered to vote for years, all of a sudden they are not registered.

2) People being told that they can vote by phone.

3) People being told that if they are a democrat, they can also vote on Wednesday.

And the list goes on and on.

In Pittsburgh, PA people have reported receiving robocalls telling them that Election Day is November 5th! And here in Ohio, some voters have been falsely told that they can send in absentee ballots as late as November 14th. In Kansas City, MO reports are coming in from voters at a largely African American polling location, who are being warned of a 6-8 hour wait to vote (despite the line being short) and forced to put their names on a list while in line to vote.

Don't fall for any of the voting games! If you have a question about voting or the appropriate procedures contact your board of elections office.

Or you may call the Election Protection Coalition at 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683). Their website is: www.ourvotelive.org

No votes yet

If a person falls for some of that stuff, perhaps they have no business voting.

Seriously...who in the world would believe that members of one party get an extra day to vote? Or that any ballots will be accepted after election day? (Which is always on a Tuesday!) This is 4th grade social studies stuff we're talking about here. Geez.

Obviously a person who tried to spread lies/rumors about the elections process is wrong (and should be punished, if their actions violate any laws), but why in the world would anyone with more than an elementary school education fall for it? Yikes!

The same ones who are still waiting on the big check from that long lost Nigerian uncle who left them millions.
