Lucas County Republicans Endorse Jan Scotland

This just in: LCRP endorses Jan Scotland for Commisioner. See the attached press release. There will be a press conference scheduled for Thurs morning at One Government Center at 10:30am where Jan will detail his platform. Jan, like many other taxpayers, are tired of the commissioners "pet projects". That taxpayer part was my editorial :)

That the time now is 6:15 p.m.

I don't understand. Your point being?

Chris received the release that the endorsement had been approved before the meeting took place. The meeting didn't start till 7:00 p.m.

Since the initial post doesn't have a time stamp, I commented so the time would be clear.

Interesting that the fax is from Matthew Bartow. I read somewhere that he was not involved with Stainbrook since he stole from the campaign of Judge Christiansen and entered a court diversion program to avoid a felony conviction. I thought we were cleaning up the Republican Party!

«Mr. Berling asked Mr. Bartow where the mailers were printed, and Mr. Bartow gave him the name of a business. The business said it gave Mr. Bartow a quote but didn't hear back from him, Mr. Berling said.

Mr. Bartow then said he used Kinko's. Mr. Berling said committee members called every Kinko's in the county and none did printings for the campaign. Mr. Berling said when Mr. Bartow was asked for the bulk mail receipt, he didn't have one.

Mr. Berling called police last week after Mr. Bartow, who has done similar work for other campaigns, failed to communicate with him.»

Yikes. Another snake in the LCRP.

Maybe one day, Lucas County will get a party that stands for personal responsibility and fiscal rectitude. One day. But that doesn't seem to be today.

the token throwaway candidate in many contests in years past? Believe he's the guy with the insurance agency on Dorr Street.

In case you don't get the local blah and peruse it online, the placement of the article was blended in with the obits! Page 4 just below the 1st death announcement (omen?) The new GOP chairman should be throwing fits over that one, his tiny article letting us all know the stain will be on PBS tonite with Jack Lessenberry has better placement than the actual candidate! Just goes to show it is all about stainbrook and nothing else. Looks like Scotland's soul selling did not pay off!
