I wanted to post this before the uproar, but I think it is an honest, legitimate question....

Any of you toledoans try the new Mario Kart for the Wii?

I know this is a silly posting, but I was wondering what you thought.....do you like the wii wheel??? What do you think about the tracks???

I just wish I HAD a Wii... seems like whenever I have the disposable income, you can never find them!

On a side topic, how genius was it for Nintendo to release Mario Kart Wii the same week that GTA4 was released? It's like giving families the legitimate alternative to the adult franchise. Absolutely brilliant.

That is a good point. Grand Theft Auto is certainly not family friendly. Mario Kart is a wholesome game, and the changes are more in sync with the Nintendo 64 than the Game Cube.

I'm not very good at MarioKart but it's totally fun. The tracks are pretty complex, but I love that you can play the old fashioned tracks too. We got an extra wheel for racing each other.

My brothers have a Wii, and I'm not sure if they've got a wheel for it or not, but I have always been a fan of Mario Kart, so I will have to look into it... as for GTA: they're not allowed to have it, I'd wager knowing my Mom... and I'm not particularly interested in the game anyway.

I think that if it was on purpose (and I'm sure that it was because everyone in the gaming industry knows what everyone else is doing when), it was brilliant.

I picked ours up today but haven't taken it for a test drive.

The extra wheels btw, are only 15 bucks.

What is this GTA? The driving one with all the gore?

If you're here to tell me it's my fault - you're right. I meant to do it. It was alot of fun. That's why I have this happy smile on my face.

GTA= Grand Theft Auto

The extra wheels are only $15, but you can also play with the game cube controllers, some of our friends like those better, as do I on occassion....

Grand Theft Auto is the violent driving game. You can jack people's cars, pick up prostitutes, and do other violent and immoral things... I'm absolutely positive that my Mother would not let us play...
