Oral sex while smoking? I think not.

/

this is a silly argument! come on, if she's married to the guy, then she's being exposed to second hand smoke anyway, which also compromises her health, so what's the big deal? i would guess that he was a smoker long before they got married, so big deal. i'm assuming there's more to this......

I assume this woman still kisses her husband. If she doesn't & uses this same, sorry excuse, then she has bigger issues than whether her husband smokes or not. It sounds like an excuse to me either way & her husband should dump her ass with a quickness.

Maybe the husband is lousy at performing oral sex, and the wife needed an excuse that wouldn't bruise his male ego. lol ;)

You know how chicks like to gossip with each other about everything. lol

Reminds me of an old joke. Does your wife smoke after sex? I don't know, I never looked.

so, if it's possible to get cervical cancer, than, is it also possible to get prostate cancer in the same way? not that it's even a concern for most men. :) i would like to know statistically, how often one would have oral sex to get cervical cancer?

Eh, I'm 99.9% positive that cervical cancer is caused only by the HPV virus. (HeyHey may be able to confirm or refute that.)

The doctor in darkseid's link didn't actually say that she would get cancer from oral sex and/or that it would kill her. I suspect it just ticked darkseid off that the doctor didn't specifically say that it wasn't harmful either. (click on the link and read the brief blurb to see what was actually said)

You can get cervical cancer without having HPV, but the vast majority of cervical cancer victims will test positive for HPV. For some reason 80% is sticking in my head (the percent of crevical cancer caused by HPV).

Anyone thinking about Monica Lewinski and a cigar?

From LittleRed:so, if it's possible to get cervical cancer, than, is it also possible to get prostate cancer in the same way?

I don't know, but I'm willing to take a chance.

better to die happy than frustrated. :)

I've fallen down laughing and I can't get up.

If you're here to tell me it's my fault - you're right. I meant to do it. It was alot of fun. That's why I have this happy smile on my face.

When I first saw this posting I was going to say 'Oh yes, but what a way to go....'

But I didn't.

I'm proud of that.

Oral sex between young people could be passing on a cancer-causing virus, a charity has warned.

A recent study found the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is linked to cervical cancer, may also be transmitted during oral sex.

The study, in the online journal Cancer, suggested HPV may be linked to mouth cancers as well.

The British Dental Foundation warned youngsters should be aware of the potential risk of contracting HPV through oral sex.

Chief executive Dr Nigel Carter said: "There is a growing body of evidence to suggest that oral sex could be a possible risk factor for mouth cancer.

"The HPV virus is a known cause of cervical cancer and this research suggests that the infection could be passed on during oral sex too."

He said rises in sexual activity among youngsters and the link to HPV could help explain why more youngsters were getting oral cancers.

In the past 10 years the percentage of men under 45 with mouth cancer has risen by almost a third. But the foundation found a worrying level of ignorance about mouth cancer, with one in four never having heard of the disease.

The research found around half of non-smokers who develop mouth cancer had the HPV virus.

Dr Carter said the transmission of HPV from oral sex could account for the rise in the incidence of the disease. Mouth cancer symptoms include an ulcer that does not heal after three weeks or a red or white patch in the mouth.

an interesting article, you know it's amusing if the "Society for the Promotion of Postmarital Oral Gratification" people are involved!!!!!!!

Oral sex cancer scare causes dismay
At-risk groups shaken by latest findings
by Chlamydia O'Toole

The news that oral sex may cause mouth cancer has caused dismay among at-risk groups.

Scientists have confirmed that the human papilloma virus (HPV) - the cause of most cervical cancers - may also be responsible for oral tumours.

Researchers who carried out biopsies on those suffering from mouth rot found HPV present in a small number of cases. Chillingly, these sufferers had frequently indulged in sucking the spam javelin. Worse still, many did not even smoke - the usual cause of gob atrophy.

A top cancer expert, speaking at a recent conference on how to complete research grant applications in Bournemouth*, told The Rockall Times: "The risks associated with chewing the male member may be slight, but we are duty-bound to make all women aware of the possible repercussions of suck-and-swallow."

The news comes as a terrible blow to those most affected by the findings. Derek Scudby, chairman of pressure group "Society for the Promotion of Postmarital Oral Gratification" (SPPOG), told us: "This has set our cause back ten years. It's just the excuse the missus needs for not getting her laughing gear round me todger. I haven't had a BJ since me honeymoon, and that was in 1974."

SPPOG has appointed its own team of experts in order to promote the positive benefits of oral sex. "Human male ejaculate has proven health benefits if taken on a regular basis," said lead researcher Dr Nivea Jojoba. "It combats bowel and rectal cancer, improves night vision and has been shown among a test group of 13 women to noticeably reduce the visible signs of ageing when compared to the effects of other leading brands. I recommend three doses a week, plus supplementary ingestions at Xmas and on the partner's birthday."

Many women, however, have rejected SSPOG's findings. Derek Scudby's own wife Brenda, an attractive 42-year-old brunette, said: "I'm not personally worried about the possibility of my mouth falling off because of oral sex. The fact is that Brian has not drunk from the furry cup since he got blind drunk on his mate's stag night in 1982. If he's not prepared to partake of the bearded clam, then there's no way I am going to suck his piece. What about my needs, eh?"

We asked our resident sexpert, Rowan Raunchbitch, for her thoughts on this most intimate of matters. Her response was typically forthright: "In the end, whether or not to place one's oral parts in contact with another's genitals is a matter of personal taste. However, the health risks to women associated with "the blow job", as I believe it is commonly known, have been well documented. The latest findings simply confirm that wrapping one's lips around a hideously-empurpled member carries at best the possibility of a mouthful of steaming man-juice, and at worse the terrifying prospect of ejaculate-borne flesh-eating necrosis. While I would admit that many women find oral sex tolerable - or, when drunk, mildly stimulating - my advice is that sexual contact is best restricted to an annual penetration through a hole in a rubber sheet, followed by rigorous showering."

This is a little ridiculous. The amount of carcinogens transferred from the mouth to the cervix would be minute compared to the amount breathed in every day from SHS.

Monica Lewinsky may have gotten a pretty good load of carcinogens on her cervix from Bill.......but he used something other than his mouth.

good post for a good laugh on a snowy afternoon....

because it now gives women as a whole more incentive to be a "spitter".

*groan*

Still snowy there still?

This latest scientific revelation goes a looooooong way toward the explanation of Darkseid's darkness.

Lack of  tends to make you cranky, eh pops ?

Keep on puffin ! ! !   The shit's harmless, remember ?

I know a good mortician that can give you one of those pre-paid deals on the cheap..

I just got in from an overnight fishing expedition. Fish were definitely biting ! ! !
My stalker will be appearing soon...............
fish, fish, fish, fish......

another good laugh for another snowy afternoon.

you really are that short, Dark...

Yet, you are, Mr.Darkseid. McCaskey is not bothering you. Why do you post this crapola toward him ? Nothing better to do with your time than disrupt threads ?

I am enrolling you in my next session at the Toledo Re-Education Center. We will focus on your shamelessly unabated trolling and stalking of people on internet sites.

Due to my having a great time on vacation, I MAY extend my return from mid April to around May 1. Please be ready for the initial psychological examinations on May 1.

Your first assignment will be to write a paper entitled: "Why do I bother people with my Trolling and Stalking, and how can I cure myself without reaching for a pack of cigarettes ?"

So, basically HPV can possibly be transmitted through oral sex - and HPV can cause cervical cancer.............but there is no proof that a woman can get cervical cancer from doing her husband, just because her husband is a smoker. That is one of the most retarded leaps I've ever heard. littlered is right - if she's married to a smoker & is that paranoid of shs then she needs to get divorced & set him free - so he can explore other options with more loving & less hysterical ladies.

Isn't oral sex and normal birth the same thing?

ew

That's a disturbingly disgusting question.

I agree, but it's funny as hell, isn't it.

Nobody spoke directly to the most important issues. First, smoking is unhealthy in uncountable ways. Second, almost all STDs and carcinogens that are transfered from one person to another via unprotected penile penetration may also be transfered via unprotected oral sex. The lessons should be: Don't smoke; and don't have unprotected sex of any type except for purposeful procreation. If you are smoking, stop. Then your partner will not be at risk, and you'll have a longer and healthier life...not to mention keeping more of that precious "take-home pay".

that ought to go well with our smoker friends, who already know that smoking is bad, but can't quit, or choose not to quit. smoking's a touchy subject around here.

Whatever you say, mommy. By the way, what's your BMI index? You're starting to get a spare tire. You'd better lay off those bad foods.

You have a point. I had angioplasty over 12 years ago. Since then I follow a low-fat diet and get regular exercise. My cholesterol numbers, which were terrible 13 years ago, are now excellent. This doesn't change the fact that I should lose significant weight.
My faults don't change the facts that smoking shortens the length of one's life, and can lead to a torturously painful end to that life. I know many people who smoked for their entire adult lives and quit. It's hard, but far from impossible. And just think of all of the money quitters save!
My faults also don't change the fact that we have an unnecessary epidemic of STDs in this country. We don't really want to talk about sex, but too many of us have risky sex. This is especially true with young people and oral sex. It's tough to be under 18 and have to go to some clinic and test positive for an STD. Yes, abstinence is the best option, but try to sell that one to these kids with runaway hormones!

The issue is not whether smoking is bad for you (it is) - or whether unprotected sex can result in std's. The issue was, can a woman get cervical cancer & hpv from oral sex if her husband is a smoker. HPV is viral and can be passed through body fluids, and HPV can be a cause of cervical cancer. But her husband being a smoker has nothing to do with anything, unless he has HPV & his wife does not - then he may give her the std - but his being a smoker is a non-issue on all fronts. HIs wife is making an excuse, or she's a horrible paranoia & he'd be better off dumping her ass because it will only get worse. And the doctor did NOT say it could kill her. He evaded the question & because he's a doctor & is against smoking in general, he wasn't going to say it wouldn't kill her (better safe than worry about law suits?). Sounds like crappy doctor to me. My doctor would laugh his ass off over this one.

yeah, mine would laugh too, especially since he has 5 kids. :)

You had sex with a condom with your boyfriend About 2 hours later you had oral sex He wiped the pre-cum off before oral sex and after it then you had sex for 30 sec can you still be pregnant?
