Obama's pastor denounces United States

Obama and Pastor

Democratic presidential frontrunner Senator Barack Obama's longtime relationship with his former pastor and spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright is coming under increasing scrutiny from some national media outlets.

ABC, MSNBC and Fox News have been airing excerpts from some of Pastor Wright's sermons, including one in 2003 when he denounced the United States for its treatment of blacks. "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law, and then wants us to sing God Bless America," shouts Wright. "No, no, no, not God Bless America -- God d___ America, it's in the Bible for killing innocent people."

Wright has also raised eyebrows for saying 9/11 was a case of "America's chickens coming home to roost" and that Zionism has an element of "white racism." In addition, he has accused the government of infecting black Americans with HIV.

New Jersey pastor Clenard Childress, founder of the website BlackGenocide.org, says Wright has a long history of spewing anti-American rhetoric and mocking anyone who disagrees with his radical views. "The hypocrisy of that is that he often talks about American policies that have killed innocent people, but yet he and Barack Obama endorse the abortion industry's agenda," he notes. "[The abortion industry] targets African-Americans and has killed far more than 9/11 or many of the other atrocities that he talks about."

Childress says if the mainstream demands more in-depth answers from Senator Obama (D-Illinois) regarding Wright, the pastor will likely resign from Obama's presidential campaign. The pastor believes the Illinois senator needs to do more than just say he does not always agree with Pastor Wright.

"[H]e needs to say [that] indeed he does not agree with the mockery of other Republicans and people who do not have his views [and that] he is not in agreement with the root cause of 9/11," Childress contends.

But according to Childress, the media may not push the issue. "There are many things that Barack Obama could do," he continues, "but as I stated, he'll wait to see [if the] mainstream media is going to give him a pass on this, like they have been doing for quite some time; or [if they will] demand answers and demand some type of explanation, which mainstream media has not done."

Wright, who has said Jesus was a black man who was killed by rich white people, has stated from his pulpit that Senator Hillary Clinton does not understand the struggles of African Americans because she has never been called the "n-word."

That is terrible the things that pastor is saying....but you think that is bad, there is another guy out of New York that tops the charts!

What he is saying is absolutely aweful....I cannot even find the words to describe how aweful the things this pastor in New York is saying about Barack Obama.

You may view it here:

I am surprised that this video hasn't hit the media. I wonder if Obama knows what this guy is saying about him? This is pure hatred! I don't understand how this man can call himself a pastor, and people even attend this church!!!! This is terrible!!!!!

McCain's Spiritual Guide: Destroy Islam

"Senator John McCain hailed as a spiritual adviser an Ohio megachurch pastor who has called upon Christians to wage a "war" against the "false religion" of Islam with the aim of destroying it."

I'd venture a guess that some asylum is missing a patient.

What is a 'Mack Daddy'? I watched this self-proclaimed pastor's political speech from his pulpit, and he refers to Obama as a mack daddy. Additionally, a young lady at my office referred to my new keyboard as 'the big mack daddy of all keyboards'. I'm clueless.

Thanks for the post, Mr. Ward. If you're wondering how this man can attract a following, allow me to remind you that the evil one is real.

Is Jesus, All the time.
With his rant and rave, kinda makes one wonder about the tag line and the pastors mission.

Preacher Jeremiah Wright hates America "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law, and then wants us to sing God Bless America," shouts Wright. "No, no, no, not God Bless America -- God d___ America, it's in the Bible for killing innocent people."

Barack Obama likes the preacher and considers the racist America hating preacher his "mentor".

Toledo Blade endorses Obama for president.

Therefore, the Toledo Blade hates America.

Sort of sounds like some Fox News reasoning.

Evangelical preacher Ted Haggard is a firm supporter of President George W. Bush, and is sometimes credited with rallying evangelicals behind Bush during the 2004 election.

Therefore, George W. Bush likes Ted Haggard.

In November 2006, Ted Haggard resigned or was removed from all of his leadership positions after allegations of homosexual sex and drug abuse were made by Mike Jones, a former prostitute.

Therefore, George W. Bush must promote, advocate and endorse homosexuality, drug abuse and prostitution.

Yes, this president promotes homosexual encounters. The president, wearing fish-net stockings, loving to have his hands tethered behind his back, insisting that he be ordered onto his knees, has been blowing, with deep love and appreciation, the vice president for the past seven years. It's the cum on his tongue that gives him his twang.

Patience is a great virtue.

Obama said following the preacher's moronic comments:

The pastor of my church, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who recently preached his last sermon and is in the process of retiring, has touched off a firestorm over the last few days. He's drawn attention as the result of some inflammatory and appalling remarks he made about our country, our politics, and my political opponents.

Let me say at the outset that I vehemently disagree and strongly condemn the statements that have been the subject of this controversy. I categorically denounce any statement that disparages our great country or serves to divide us from our allies. I also believe that words that degrade individuals have no place in our public dialogue, whether it's on the campaign stump or in the pulpit. In sum, I reject outright the statements by Rev. Wright that are at issue. ...

Nice try lumping them together but it doesn't stick.

A miserable, so-called democracy, the USA had managed to maintain global hegemony for only 60 years, and now it is falling into second-tier status because of its government's disinterest in the nation's people and their wellbeing. The Roman Empire of antinquity served it citizens for thousands of years. In the centuries ahead, the North American continent will become a footnote in the history of the world. The N.A. continent will become dust in the wind.

Patience is a great virtue.

Obviously, these three are rabid supporters of the Blade.

So is that John Robinson Block's hand up your a$$es controlling your mouth like the puppets you are?

We just know a fucking asshat when when we see one. Fuck you and everything you stand for.

Did the Blade writers come up with that one and order you to say it?

You and the other mindless drones who are controlled by JRB and the Blade make all of America LAUGH at Toledo.

Now shut up and go finish watching WWF Smackdown until your owners need you to defend them again.

I could care less what the newspaper prints but I do enjoy mocking you on your sophomoric Preacher-Obama-Blade endorsement-Blade hates America theory that sets the record for taking the 'long way around' to whatever moronic point you were trying to make.

That was one of the greatest and funniest sermons I have ever heard. I’ll bet money that Barack Obama will now be walking on eggshells and looking overhead for pigeon droppings as he makes his way through the political minefields of 2008! The soup is about ready to get a lot thicker and we can safely call it chunky pretty soon! I’ll wager that pastor literally forces people to give their ten percent to his Church upon pain of eternal hellfire! (You walk in those doors you’re going to pay something guaranteed!) I see a little bit of self promotion in that glorious tirade, and my main concern is for the preachers’ vocal cords, not to mention the people there look a little bit intimidated! All in all the man gets an A+ for effort and also a solid A for speaking his mind, which many Americans are now terrified to do. Agree or disagree, the preacher has a plan!

Give yourself a reality check. Whether you like him as president or not, Obama isn't a bad sort. He isn't a criminal or a radical of any sort. This man was his pastor and a close friend, and on his possibly early retirement let loose with a fire storm of hatred knowing that his words would certainly damage Obama's campaign. The man is a minister and presumably of average or above average intelligence. What I'd like to know is: How much did Hitlery pay him? Think about it. Hitlery hasn't been able to damage Obama any other way, in spite of all her silver tongued rhetoric, innuendo and snide comments. She's had to be very careful, because if the old girl slips up she's liable to be labeled a - wait for it - racist. Hitlery is spending tens of millions on her run for the White House, so even as much as a million or so could be misplaced without anyone knowing.

I don't even like Obama a little bit, but I'll offer twelve to seven it's Hitlery behind this shit storm.
