Resume padding

We all know how it's done. Take some accomplishment you've had and embellish it so that it becomes a lot bigger than it really was. People do it to their resumes all the time. Well, Hillary has been caught doing that when she told CNN, "I helped to bring peace to Northern Ireland," and "I negotiated open borders to let fleeing refugees into safety from Kosovo."

"Hillary Clinton had no direct role in bringing peace to Northern Ireland and is a "wee bit silly" for exaggerating the part she played, according to Lord Trimble of Lisnagarvey, the Nobel Peace Prize winner and former First Minister of the province."

In May of 1999, she was in Macedonia visiting refugee camps near the Kosovo border and meeting with Macedonia's president and prime minister. Sources with knowledge of her visit say she discussed the refugees' plight with those leaders. It's not clear how much she helped since CNN reported at the time that Macedonia reopened its border to Kosovar refugees before Clinton's visit.

It seems a bit ironic -and maybe dishonest- for her to boast about her "thirty-five years of experience" when she has held elective office once and to blast Obama for his lack of experience when he has also held elective office once.

I've found it works both ways. I'll get called for an interview and the company says they pay $40k. Then, after you walk in the room...they'll say..."like we had mentioned, the salary is $35." Companies pad how well they are doing their industry. Sales Managers ALWAYS pad how much their other sales people make...etc.
