In Julie Danko's senior government class at Otsego High School, she teaches her students about the importance of voting and the process of elections.

This year, some of her students will have the opportunity to become a part of the process by working at local polling stations on the Nov. 6 election.
Debbie Hazard, director of the Wood County Board of Elections, sent letters expressing the need for volunteers to about 15 high schools in the county, 25 businesses, and two dozen local government offices.
