...how much of the hiring for the last quarter of the year is in retail, when many firms add holiday staff?

I've always appreciated the Manpower surveys, but also wished they could be more specific...

But...

"Locally, the temporary staffing agency said job prospects appear best in construction, manufacturing, transportation and utilities, and wholesale and retail trade."

Like you said, Maggie, there aren't specific numbers associated with each category. Also, I don't know if they have been listed in order of quantity.

...considering the arena, Bass Pro, Fallen Timbers and the school building project, construction seems a likely candidate for the top spot...
