Looks like according to absentee ballots which are being updated as we speak Cichy, Branyan, Ashford, Meineke, Webb, and Ball? That's a suprise.

Of course that's just the absentee ballots but it could point to a trend

Damn, the numbers are changing every minute, and I have to get to bed. 4am comes early, talk about it tomorrow on the show.

Wow, what a surprise... Ashford gets over 60% of the vote. His district deserves everything they get (or don't get I guess).

He had the advantage of getting the signs up earlier and getting his name out earlier.

I did not know about the alternatives to him to late in the races.

The 896 votes garnered by M. Ashford took an awful lot of money to produce, what with the signs all over town, the Ashford workers out yesterday, the campaign literature that arrived in my mailbox, support of Jack Ford and Ashford tee shirts.

896 out of how many potential voters???? District #4 is HUGE. It's also highly populated with a huge variety of people, lifestyles, economic structure and cultures. Ta boot, it includes Downtown. So, out of the potentail multiple thousands of votes, he got 896. That is by no means "Earth Shattering". He got those votes the old fashioned way, he laid out the cash and the pressure. He was well organized and well funded. He made no claim to do any better than he has, he offered no new solutions to any District problems and he managed to steal the Council President's chair with equal parts of slimy and Good ole' boy behavior. For a man that came here from Nebraska, I find it strange for him to carry such a "Southerner" purse of tactics. Nowhere is it more true than here in Toledo that the "Greased Palm" gets the squeak out. I've even heard from more that one source that he's tried to buy the January votes from the Cadidates that are running for office. If this is true, then he really doesn't deserve the office and he should be voted out on that alone.

He is at best..an absentee representative. Of all the meetings I've attended that he was due to be at, I can name only 4, which is a 3rd that he was on time and in place. If he bothered to show up, he was late and a few times didn't even stay thru. I realize being a Councilman is a "Part Time" job, but...they only meet a couple times a week and not for the whole day. So what gives??? I don't think it's too much to ask that if you get elected, you show up for the regular meetings. He may now that he's Prez, but if there's anything I'm greatful for about the failure of the recall, it's that he isn't gonna be Mayor anytime soon.

that is what I said, in fewer words! Did you think that I felt he did good with 896 out of a possible thousands of votes?

Just expounding on the obvious..lol.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
