Upcoming Alcohol Ban - Thanks to RWJF & those who voted for smoking bans.

Upcoming Alcohol Ban - Thank RWJF, WHO, and everybody who voted a smoking ban into effect.
The effort seems to put most smokers off the street and in the home, put the small restaurants and bars out of business and continue to reduce BAC from the .12 level (3 beers) of the 70's to .6 (or less) which is 1.5 beers. NHTSA is sending grants for check points (OSP is very visible about this locally). They have promised local cops grant money to target bikers, it is already happening in Minn.

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: Financier of Temperance
by David J. Hanson, Ph. D.

The temperance-oriented Robert Wood Johnson Foundation "seeks to drive adult beverage consumption underground, away from mainstream culture and public places." 1 It attempts to stigmatize alcohol, de-legitimize drinking, marginalize drinkers, and create a de facto prohibition of the legal product.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has spent over a quarter of a billion (that's billion, not million) dollars ($265,000,00.00) in just four years alone further developing and funding a nation-wide network of anti-alcohol organizations, centers, activist leaders, and opinion writers to achieve its long-term goal.

An in-depth report, Behind the Neo-Prohibition Campaign: The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, demonstrates that "nearly every study disparaging adult beverages in the mass media, every legislative push to limit alcohol marketing or increase taxes, and every supposedly 'grassroots' anti-alcohol organization" is funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). 2 The foundation supports numerous temperance activists and groups including:

virtually PURCHASED M.A.D.D. a number of years back. They're their #1 grant contributor, and have been for a while. The woman who created M.A.D.D. left the organization in disgust when she realized it had turned into a socialist/political association.

Correct me if Im wrong, but didnt the US try an alcohol ban once before?

And yet, everybody said I was whacked out for even suggesting a smoking ban would roll out the red carpet for losing other freedoms & rights. They started with the smoking bans (world wide, and for a reason) because smoking was an easy target, politically incorrect, and easily won through propaganda & bogus 'studies' & fear tactics. It's all they needed to move ahead, and they are - moving ahead. And it won't stop with alcohol. "They" will expect the masses to meet specific weights & health standards, and do whatever they need to do to produce (or create) a new 'master race' of only healthy people. We are controlled via religion, debt, & the health system (drugs, etc.) so this doesn't surprise me at all. I am only surprised at how long it took for people to begin to unravel (and believe) it all.

Anyone ever see "Thank You for Smoking"? Great movie

And the pot smoking antis think they will get their little vice legalized....

BWHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH.......

........HA.

Keep smoking your little vice and think it is so..because if you're stoned...it is so!!!

I'd like all these antis to stay stoned 24/7, frankly. That's the only time they are able to smile.

Much easier on the eyes.

I could post some pics of anti-tobacco stoners, but I think you'd rather not throw up for three days straight.

WASHINGTON - Hillary Clinton lavished praise on New York City's tough anti-smoking laws yesterday - and said she supports smoking bans in public places across the country.

http://www.nypost.com/seven/08282007/news/nationalnews/hill_eyes_nationa...

Interesting how toledolaw05 titled his post "Hillary eyes national smoking ban", when at the end of the article linked it clearly states "Asked whether the feds should impose a nationwide ban, Clinton deferred to local governments." Fess up toledolaw05, did you even read the article?

Here's another article with some candidates' view on smoking bans:

Huckabee committed to sign a nationwide smoking ban in public places, should such a measure win approval in Congress. Brownback said he would let anti-smoking efforts continue under the authority of states and local communities.

but they're taking a different tack this time. Alcohol was illegal everywhere, and tobacco use was outlawed in many, if not most, states at one time-the new way will be to keep booze and smokes legal to buy-you just won't be able to use them anywhere, other than your own home (for now). They get the best of both worlds that way. The smoker bans have long been accused of being a roundabout, back-door way of alcohol control by RWJF and others.
