This appears to be an example of the mind set of those at TPS

From the Toledo Journal story, TPS MOUs number 1,800 pages

Ms. Barnett said she also couldn't understand the newspaper's thinking. She said if The Journal believed there was a problem at TPS, it should wait until the board announced that it had a solution to the problem.

I think this really hits the nail on the head about the thinking of the certain board members and administrators. Do they really think that all of us should just wait until they find the problems? Or does Barnett expect that the press and public should identify problems and just wait for them to be solved?

I personally have tried the route of identifying problems and giving them a chance to fix them. It just does not happen in any reasonable time frame, if at all without some sort of reason for TPS to act. To get any action at all it generally requires disclosure in the media.

If this is an example of how Barnett thinks, then I sure am glad she has announced she will not seek another term!

People should read that article. They really should. It's an eye opener. I will be curious to see the legal opinion regarding these agreements.

My understanding of the law in Ohio makes me highly suspicious of these signatories.

If you're here to tell me it's my fault - you're right. I meant to do it. It was alot of fun. That's why I have this happy smile on my face.

Does this stuff only happen in Toledo or is it going on all over America?

Maybe we can google news articles. IF so, where is it that the community got things turned around (if any) and how did they do it?

google term ideas:

MoU
Memorandum of understanding
School board does not approve expense
Secret union agreements

That kind of thing?
