You will be called ignorant...you will be called ignorant....

If you're here to tell me it's my fault - you're right. I meant to do it. It was alot of fun. That's why I have this happy smile on my face.

"Excellent"? Sure, if for a very restricted definition of excellent. Bush has always been very Presidential. Remember the deep label of "gravitas"? However, the major problem remains, in that Bush is dead wrong about the domestic economy and foreign relations. As long as the poor and Arabs continue to pay for his terrible policies, we will continue pretending that he's a great guy.

Like Ted Rall implied in one of his latest cartoons, I can't wait to see which book (singular) that Bush's Presidential Library will stock. That's about the speed of Bush's upcoming legacy.

This poll I'd say speaks more to two things. 1)FoxNew's viewership and 2)Those viewers who are then motivated enough to send a text.

I was unable to watch the State of the Union (wife had on American Idol so I watched South Park reruns) but even if I did I doubt I'd be motivated enough to send a text message about it.

It's really nothing different than polls that are taken on weekends or those done on the internet. It says more about that a specific group than the population in whole.

I don't. I think the questions are typically weighted one way or the other. Although, everybody likes the ones that support their own viewpoint....I just don't put a tremendous amount of stock in the idea that the polls are unbiased.

You know, American Idol (8-9) was on before the State of the Union (9-10)....nice try! :-)

A couple things I bring from this:
1. Fox News obviously has a more conservative viewship, but they still have well over 50% of the cable news market meaning that a poll like this still carries weight. CNN viewership tends to be pretty equal, and MSNBC is obviously watched by more liberals.

2. I think it was a very good SotU. Like GZ said, GWB is very presidential his speeches are often received favorable. The three options: Poor, Average, and Excellent pigeonholed a lot of people into the excellent category by default. I thought it was an above-average address, but maybe not rising to the level of excellent.

3. It's a poll and there are many short-comings of any poll, especially non-scientific polls that takes volunteers.

ahem... like I said. When my wife turned on AI I went into the other room. I didn't watch the SofU. So I don't know if you were trying to "get me" or something but I'm not lieing when I said I was watching South Park reruns.

BTW www.allabout-sp.net has every episode of South Park ever if anyone else is a fan.
